Personalized Care

St. Francis Woods is an Illinois-certified supportive living facility in Peoria, Illinois. We provide an alternative to nursing home care for individuals with low incomes because we accept Medicaid. As a participant in the state’s Supportive Living Program, we offer personalized care and individual attention to all of our residents while providing them the services they need to remain independent. Private pay residents are welcomed as well.

Our facility consists of 92 resident rooms, a large dining room, a peaceful chapel, a living room with a big screen TV, and an activity room for activities, socializing, and entertainment. Our residents also appreciate the unique ambiance setting of our delightful sunroom, which features an aviary with several types of birds.

Our campus is nestled on 7 wooded acres, providing a wonderful opportunity to observe wildlife and enjoy the changing scenery throughout the year. In fact, it’s not uncommon for deer to walk right up to our back door.

We serve and care for our residents as if they were part of our own families. Our staff includes a registered nurse, 2 LPNs, and certified nursing assistants to help with medication and daily care.  We enjoy getting to know each one of our residents and build relationships with them based on respect, trust, and friendship.


Our Planned Care Coordinator carefully organizes services for each resident’s individual needs and abilities. We frequently communicate with a resident’s family and hold quarterly family care conferences to ensure that a care plan is appropriate for the resident’s needs. Our goal is to help residents remain as independent as possible, but we are always ready to help when needed. Each room has a personal response system that will alert staff when a resident needs help.
